Dear Ginny: as a little present, I´m uploading a video that I think, in a way, rounds off our academic year, following the topic of Art we have so often included in our classes, coupled with the topic of learning, which has always been your objective and my aim. Hope you enjoy watching it, with a cup of tea in your hands, sprawled in your sofa, feet up on a stool!!! Have a nice end of the year and fantastic holidays! Love, Natalia
The name of the video is: The Art of Learning
http://vimeo.com/61056542
Welcome to our blog! The idea is that we share our views and ideas beyond the classroom. We hope you enjoy it!

4th Year: Narrative tenses
Hello people!
Here is revision on narrative tenses (past simple, past continuous, and past perfect)
First, you may want to revise the uses of each tense. Go over your notes, and check the following website:
http://www.eltbase.com/notes.php?id=201
About Narrative Tenses
When we are telling the story in the past we can use a variety of narrative tenses.
We use the past simple to talk about the main events of the story: The audience watched the live broadcast in horror.
We use the past continuous to describe other events and actions that were in progress at the time of events: A woman was lying on a surgical table.
We use the past perfect to show that a past action took place before another past action: Frida had finished school and was travelling home when her bus crashed.
And here is some practice!!
1) Narrative tenses in a news story http://www.eltbase.com/quiz/201_01.htm
2) Narrative tenses in an anecdote/story

Hello children! How are you?
In class, we worked with the Mexican story "The Magic Tortilla".
Do you know stories, legends, or myths, from other countries?
Here is a webpage in which children from different countries post their stories http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/your-turn/traditional-stories-around-the-world
You can also leave a comment telling a story you know, if you want!

4th Year: LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER
Hello, everybody! How are you? I hope everything's ok!
Here is the homework for next class
1)Go to this webpage http://absolutenglish-972.pagesperso-orange.fr/notes/mysteries/lamb-chron.htm and solve the activity. You have to put the events in chronological order. Of course, do this after you finish reading the story!!
After this, re-write this summary on a separate piece of paper so as to turn it into a more personal paragraph. Remember to use narrative tenses (PAST SIMPLE, PAST CONTINUOUS, PAST PERFECT) and connectors (first, after, because, etc...) Also, remember to avoid repetitions by using pronouns. You'll give this to me next class.
2) Is Mary Maloney guilty? Here you can post your opinion. Go to this website http://yougotthepoint.online.fr/lamb.htm and click on "to the editor". Fill in the form, and express what you believe.
3) The author of the story is ROALD DAHL. We haven't said much about him in class. That's why I want you to go to this website http://www.roalddahlfans.com/teachers/dahl.php and read his biography. Please, solve activities 1 to 5 in your copybooks.
That's all! See you on Tuesday!
